About

Hi, I’m Ely! 👋 I’m a UX Designer from Bolivia with around 8 years of experience, mostly working on B2B digital products. I’m curious by nature and love turning complex problems into clear, thoughtful experiences. I’m also a university lecturer, so I genuinely enjoy sharing knowledge, asking questions, and learning together. My approach to mentoring is practical, honest, and collaborative. No magic formulas, just good conversations and different perspectives. I’m a bit of a geek too: I love Figma, games, storytelling, design systems, and experimenting with AI. 🎮✨ I’d love to help you navigate your own design journey while learning from your perspective along the way.

How I can help

I can help mentees with different parts of the UX and product design journey, especially when they’re trying to connect design with real business and user needs. I have experience working in UX and digital product design, particularly with B2B and complex products. I’m also a university professor, where I teach UX and digital product design. This has given me a lot of experience guiding students through projects, helping them structure their ideas, giving feedback, asking the right questions, and helping them understand not just what to design, but why. Some of the areas I can support mentees with are: - UX processes and problem-solving, from understanding the problem to exploring and validating solutions. - B2B and complex digital products. - Product and UX strategy, and moving from “making screens” to understanding the bigger picture. - Design systems, UI patterns, components, and scalability. - Figma and practical design workflows. - Portfolio and case study storytelling, especially how to explain the thinking behind the design. - Working with developers, product managers, and stakeholders, and communicating design decisions. Growing as a UX designer, identifying areas for improvement, and navigating career challenges.

Frequently asked

Can I bring a Figma file to a session?

Absolutely. Figma is my main design tool, so you’re very welcome to bring a file, prototype, component, or design system you’re working on. We can review it together and identify opportunities to improve it.

What should I prepare before a session?

It depends on the session, but usually just bring the thing you want to work on and a few questions or challenges you'd like to discuss. It doesn't need to be polished. Work in progress is very welcome.

Can we talk about Design Systems?

Definitely! We can discuss anything from getting started with a design system to components, tokens, patterns, organization, scalability, and working with developers.

What if I don't know exactly what I need help with?

That's completely fine. Sometimes figuring out what the problem actually is is the first part of the work. We can start with a conversation and uncover it together. 🔎✨
