After 20+ years in design, I've picked up a few things worth passing along. I spend time with junior designers doing portfolio reviews, helping them prep for interviews, and talking honestly about how the industry actually works, the parts nobody puts in a job description. Mostly it's just answering the questions I wish someone had answered for me early on.
How I can help
I have helped many Designers on other platforms by meeting with them and offering advice like keeping their end user in mind, offering advice for breaking into the industry, and not losing sight of core design principles when new shiny tools come out. On my day-to-day, I am the oldest Designer on the team with the most years of experience and even offer help and guidance to our younger designers to help each of them find their path in Design. As a Senior UX Designer, I can get very technical with the dev team I work with, but I also have a background in Visual Communication/Graphic Design. At the end of the day, I enjoy helping people. It is a big part of my faith.
