Olá! I'm Nando, a Brazilian product designer with over 20 years of experience. I helped create and run TestFlight (before Apple's acquisition), and have spent the years since working across startups, streaming platforms, games, and all sorts of digital products. Along the way, I've lived and worked across the US and Europe, learning from different teams, cultures, challenges, and plenty of mistakes. I've always been curious about the problem behind the problem. I believe good design is less about having all the answers and more about asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and being willing to rethink what you know. I'm still very much hands-on, and lately AI has pushed me further into coding and building things myself. After two decades in this industry, I find it exciting to be learning so much again.
I've mentored close to 100 people through ADPList, helping designers find their footing, navigate career changes, and grow professionally. My sessions are more about coaching than traditional design critiques: asking better questions, challenging assumptions, and helping you figure out your next steps. I'm also deeply involved in AI and agentic workflows, which have transformed how I design, code, and build products. I'd love to share practical knowledge, explore tools, and discuss how our profession is evolving. I see mentoring as a two-way road: I bring my experience and honest feedback, but I'm just as interested in learning from your experiments, questions, and perspectives.
