Hi, I'm Yash, a product designer at Microsoft working on Copilot AI agents across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I trained as an industrial designer and taught myself product design, so I know firsthand what it takes to break into the field without a traditional path.  I help early-career designers, students, and career-pivoters sharpen their portfolios and tell stronger case study stories. Bring your portfolio (or a work-in-progress), and we'll go through it the way a hiring manager actually reads it — in the first 30 seconds, then in depth. We'll pressure-test your strongest case study together: is the problem clear, is your specific contribution obvious, does the narrative show your thinking and not just pretty screens? You'll leave with a prioritized list of what to fix, which projects to feature vs. cut, and concrete rewrites for the weakest sections. Ideal if you're getting portfolio views but no callbacks, or you're staring at a blank case study template not knowing where to start.

An open, judgment-free conversation about wherever you are — breaking in, pivoting from another field, choosing between offers, or figuring out how to grow in your first role. Come with questions and we'll talk through them honestly: is your target role realistic right now, what's actually blocking you, how the market looks, and what a sensible next 3–6 months could look like. You bring the situation; I bring perspective from having been on both sides of the hiring table. What you get: clarity on your next concrete step, honest answers to the questions you can't Google, and a lighter sense of direction instead of overwhelm.
Mock Interview: Practice the Interview That Actually Decides ItFree

A realistic run-through of the interview format that trips up most early-career designers — the app critique, the whiteboard/product design challenge, or the "walk me through a project" behavioral round (your choice, or we mix them). I'll play interviewer, you respond in real time, and then we break down what worked and what didn't. In case of a mock portfolio round, take 20 mins to present 1 project, 20 mins for Q/A and 20 mins for feedback. Come prepared with a slide deck.
