Burnout right now is an epidemic. Layoffs. AI. RTO. Not understanding the purpose of work beyond a paycheck. UX is disproportionately impacted (IMHO): UX has spent decades proving its value, getting misunderstood, watching leaders assume they could do our jobs better than us. This year's crisis isn't new stress on a clean slate. It's piling onto a load we were already carrying. In the room: We name what's actually happening, out loud, with people who get it without you having to explain it first. This isn't about fixing everything in 45 minutes. It's about getting clear on where the misalignment actually is for you and remembering that you have a say in what you put your energy into. You can't make a thoughtful decision about something you haven't let yourself name. What you leave with: a filled-in Drop / Hold page, in your own words, not mine. One side: what you're carrying that isn't actually yours to carry. Other side: what you're choosing to hold onto because it matters to you. It's not a worksheet you fill out and forget in a folder. It's something you can pin up or keep on your desk, so the decision about where your energy goes stays visible instead of dissolving back into the next sprint.
Mentors and mentees are both welcome. It's a mentor session, just with company.
